Hello! I am so excited to go on this journey with you all! As a teacher, I am here to nurture, support, and grow the skill sets that you bring to my class. I understand the importance of recognizing and building off of students’ strengths and I use that to modify my lessons and teaching methods. My goal is to enhance your learning so that we can achieve our desired outcomes together. I have my Bachelor of Education degree with a major in Social Sciences and a minor in Drama. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with a wide variety of learners and because of this, I am able to adapt my teaching techniques to best-fit students’ learning styles.

In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog hiking or catching up on the latest documentary. I am very excited about this opportunity and want to welcome you all to my class. I am a big believer in adventure and I think this experience will be a great one for all of us.

“Hi! I would love to be your ESL teacher. I have been teaching English for the last four years, and I enjoy teaching English because it gives people a meaningful voice, helps to open doors to many opportunities. I was born in Bangladesh but grew up in North America; as a result, I had to learn English as a Second Language. Therefore, I can feel the challenges and frustrations students may face from the language barrier. In my opinion, ESL teachers play a vital role in connecting the language and cultural gap for English language learners. I can make lessons fun and easy so that students can have a wonderful experience learning English. I like to run fun interactive classes so that they actively participate and share their experiences. I always try to help them feel comfortable, let them make mistakes and help them learn from their mistakes.

As students come from various backgrounds, I try to understand their strengths and weaknesses to use different strategies to help them learn English quickly. I always teach my students with the passion for leading them in the right direction and encouraging them to do their best. In the past, I helped my students learn English by asking them to share their daily activities and keeping a journal. I love cooking, shopping, meeting people and learning about different cultures. I am very excited to welcome you to my class and looking forward to our incredible journey together in CANesl!”

“Hello! As an energetic student pursuing a path towards a career in education, I want to help you succeed in achieving all your English learning goals. I love teaching because it provides an opportunity to connect with others in a meaningful fashion and is an excellent way to promote sustainable intercultural equity. Whether you want to learn how to speak and understand more fluently, read faster, write better papers for school, or simply build confidence using the English language, I am happy to help you get there. Drawing on over a decade of university-level experience, my passion is providing ESL learners with high-quality instruction to excel in academic and social settings alike. My approach to teaching is simple: make learning a positive experience by balancing content with its relevance to each student and their specific needs as a learner. In the past, I have helped neuro-divergent and neuro-typical students from a diverse range of backgrounds by tutoring for the Saskatoon Open Door Society. Personal hobbies of mine include reading, singing, short fiction writing, and co-caring for my hamster Marvis. I look forward to meeting and working with you as we begin our ESL journey together!”

“Prior to joining CANesl, I have had 15 years of experience in teaching. I enjoy adding creativity, making learning exciting and more effortless. Building genuine relationships with the students is a key component of my teaching style. Understanding that everyone learns at a different pace, I, therefore, believes in adapting lessons for each student as an individual. I continue to strive to instill my love of reading into students and have incorporated it throughout every subject I teach. A commitment to see each student’s progress is a large priority. I monitor their growth closely to make sure they achieve success. Growing up in Canada, the eldest of four sisters, my passion for teaching was evident at an early age. From the age of six, I planned lessons, taught for hours, and even gave homework assignments to my very young siblings. These moments gave me a sense of how exciting teaching would be, and I never deterred from reaching the goal. I received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan with a major in Native Studies and a minor in English.

I have been married for 21 years and am a proud mother of two teenagers. Even amidst hectic lives, I believe in the importance of creating family time wherever possible. Reading still remains my greatest pastime, as well as gardening in the backyard.”

“Hello! I have been an ESL teacher for about 13 years. I hold a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Education, specializing in teaching English. Since I am Venezuelan, I speak Spanish too. I always wanted to help others understand English and love English as much as I do. I was a university instructor in Venezuela, where I taught several English courses, grammar, and literature to future English teachers before I came to Canada. In my most recent teaching experience, I have been helping learners from different cultural backgrounds improve their English communicative abilities. To do this, I talk to the learners to understand their needs and plan lessons that focus on what they want to learn and improve. In addition to this, I have also tutored students who want to get better test results. I make sure that students feel comfortable expressing themselves and seeing their progress with each passing day. Finally, like most teachers, I am a lifelong learner, and I like to learn about other people’s cultures using the English language as a means of communication.”

I believe that all students are capable of learning and have different needs. I hope to make a difference in the lives of my students.

I live in Regina, Canada, and I spend my free time working out, swimming, playing tennis, and hanging out with my friends.”

Hello! I am so excited to be your ESL teacher! I am an energetic new teacher who recently received my Bachelor of Education degree in the Spring of 2022. I have an infectiously optimist personality, and I love opportunities that allow me to create an environment that challenges students’ abilities while incorporating immersive learning. While teaching, my students become my top priority, and I try my best to help them reach their individual goals and needs. One of my favourite parts about this job is building relationships with people across the globe because I believe that I learn just as much from my students as they do from me!

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading or trying out new crafts. For example, I have been teaching myself how to crotchet while listening to audiobooks in my free time! I also love mystery games that involve both creativity and logic skills. One of my strengths is to think outside the box, which I try to demonstrate within my teaching! One day, I would love to have a classroom of my own because it has always been my dream to work with young kids.
